For those that are looking for something different for their house or business, Carved Glass Art is the medium for you. Using an abrasive medium under pressure or a high powered Laser, we are able to carve patterns and detailed designs into glass, wood, marble or stone.
There are three main techniques of Glass Etching/Carving:
- Surface ecthing: The abrasive material is blasted onto the glass at the same “layer”. This creates a smooth frosted look.
- Caving: The abrasive material blasts the glass using using varying pressures depending on the depth and style of the carving. By blasting different parts at different time you can create “layers”, this is what give the final product depth.
- Shading: The abrasive material (at low pressure) lightly removes material from specific areas, depending on the desired look. This allows the glass to appear gray rather than white all the time.
These techniques can be used to create beautifully crafted artwork, trophies, office and room dividers, cabinet doors, table tops, or shower doors for the home or business owner.
